The walk starts and finishes in Baslow, (only a mile from the renowned Chatsworth House).  The walk covers 25 miles of mixed terrain,  including the Derbyshire gritstone edges, Eyam and Longstone moors, as well as dales in both the Dark (gritstone) Peak and the white (limestone) areas.  The later stages of the walk includes part of the Monsal Trail before finishing through the grounds of Chatsworth House.  It is entirely set in the National Park and is a challenging walk with an 11 Hour time limit and contains 3500 feet of ascent.

Upon receiving your entry application we shall forward an acknowledgement (including your entry number) full details and final instructions which will include a sketch map of Baslow with start and other information fully marked,  together with comprehensive route and checkpoint details.

We shall be providing

    3) Hot pie and pea meal with beverages at the finish
  4) Certificates for all finishers
5) An embroidered Chatsworth Challenge Walk badge
 
  6) Results information posted to you and on this website

OS Outdoor Leisure 24 The White Peak 1:25000

or

 OS Landranger 119 Buxton, Matlock and Dovedale
 

Registration and start at Baslow Village Hall
